Reflection
"Whatever disappears when you're not thinking is not real." - Adyashanti
That includes everything. When my mind is still and my heart is quiet, the so-called "problems" tend to fade away; in which case, were they ever real? It puts a spin on everything we value as important. Next week's problems are not important. Next day's problems are not important. Even next minute's problems are not important. Eckhart Tolle points out, "what problem are you having at this moment?"

ReplyDeletewhen i'm really able to clear all thoughts, sometimes colors will appear. sometimes the colors form shapes or an image, sometimes a series of images. it's like a dream, but i'm more awake than asleep. they come from stillness, and are not necessarily born from thoughts or emotions. the dream world has become a fascinating place to visit, but is it real? i'm interested to hear what you think.
ReplyDeleteThere's so much more to reality than what our mind tends to believe. The mind is very limiting and is only a tiny aspect of the totality or the reality. The colors that you see is part of that infinite reality. It's only when we focus on one thing that all the colors collapse into one and we only see that one color or thing. Visit that fascinating place more often. It is real. It is more real than the thinking-dominated world. There is a vastness and depth to our experience that goes far beyond the mind.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The mind is very, very useful, but sometimes it can get in the way of our experience of beingness. The mind wants to label what the experience of beingness is - the Soul, Self, Spirit - but these are just labels of a beautiful reality and presence that we can be with.
